Photographic Paper Handprints, Positive retouch colours.

A Motif for Thrity Two Irregular Orbits is a photographic project that explores the boundaries of imagery through the absence of conventional photographic elements. The artist employs a performative and repetitive technique, manually creating unique circular marks on each photographic print. These prints are methodically arranged in a uniform layout, emphasizing the contrast between the deliberate imperfections of the hand-made marks and the precision of the uniformly cut photographic papers. This work delves into themes of repetition and imperfection, examining these concepts within the broader cultural contexts of both Western and Eastern fatalism. The project challenges the traditional medium of photography by juxtaposing the flawlessness of the paper with the distinctiveness of the manually added circles, thereby questioning the nature of photographic representation and the role of human intervention in art.
